After Robert died, Manny was devastated. It seems like his all hopes were torn in pieces. Like if his life had ended but what he didn't know is that it was about to start. At that point he realize that it wasn't the end, He stood up, looked at the green card on his hand and decided to take the journey. Wherever the destiny lead him too he was willing to take the risk. If he was going to die sooner or later, He’d rather it be trying. For what he dreamed for. He went of and prepared himself, He went to a clothing store and bought a couple shirts and pants, even shoes to look as nice as he could! He knew his chances were slim but he had trust. There was enough money in the wallet. It sure was more money then he had ever imagine carrying in his pocket. It gave him a little more confidence.

At last he was ready. He walked to the bus station. As he walked there he could feel his heart pounded so hard, as if it was about to come out. The sweat dripping down his cheek, it was getting really hot. He was so afraid. He remember all his life and the horrible times he would spend on his box hearing his stomach growling, and when he felt like he was about to turn around and give up he said no. The reason why he's doing all this is to get out of this horrible life and he will not go back to those days. He was determined.

He walked up to the counter and to pay for his ticket, It was a very old lady. He handed her the green card. She studied it for a bit and looked back at his face. He looked away as if something caught his interest then looked back at her and she said, Have a nice trip Robert. He was amazed and went on the bus. He wondered if she really didn't realize it wasn't him or if she just felt so bad for him. Either way He felt accomplished but still worried. As he walked in the bus he noticed there was not too many people in it . He got a window sit, and he just went and sat down. He didn't want to seem suspicious about anything. The bus started and drove away. He looked out the window and was very excited for leaving, He thought to himself, I wish to everything that i don't come back to this place.

Couple hours later Manny woke up, he realized he had fallen asleep for a while now. The sun was coming up. Rapidly he turn to look around, He wanted to know if they were almost there but he was too afraid to ask so he waited. Suddenly he hears a voice saying, from a lady behind him. Migration checked your wallet cuz you were in really deep sleep but its ok they put it back. Asoon as manny heard this he was about to scream with joy. He couldn't believe it! He thank god a thousand times for this opportunity and began daydreaming. He thought his red hair must of made him look like a white boy and thats why they didn't pay close attention to him. They must of payed more attention to the other Latinos that where at the back.

They got to Texas, where his destination was at. He got out of the bus and walked around. Observed it, it was like a new world. It looked so different! The people all looked so different!!! He was like a child that's learning how to walked! Such a big place. As he walked around texas he entered a restaurant, He was very hungry but really confused in how to order anything! He looked around. Then a lady turn to him, she looked so fancy! He had never imagine someone could look so elegant. It was weird! She asked him if he was ok, He explained to her that he's not from him, she gave him this sweet loved feeling that he had never felt before so he opened more to her. No lies this time. I am from juarez i really don't even know who i am. I dont have a family a home, nothing.

The lady looked at him so surprised, She looked like a latina he thought. But he acted different. She was different, She asked him, How old are you? Manny answered, I don't know. I don't know anything about me. All i know is that i'm called manny I just got here from juarez. He showed her his ticket and he said before i lived in a box. I didn't eat for days, I just want a better life. I just want to get away, i don't ever want to go thru that again,. She dropped a tear, she knew he was being honest. I'm taking you home she said. He looked at her and he had no more words except for thanks.

They got to her home. A beautiful cream color house, it had a green grass, trees, it was huge! He was mouth opened! As they entered the house, she called out John! Manny was waiting to see who john was, and there he was. Her husband, She whispered something to her husband and walked me to a room. This is our visitors room she said. Take a shower i'll bring you some cloth in a minute. The room was huge! A big soft bed with blankets. A desk! Mirrors everything was clean and perfect! He didn't even know this was even real!!

He went down stairs and she was sitting down with her husband. They asked him to sit down. He was worried but still sat down. They talked to him and told him, We are going to adopt you. He was surprised!! Im going to have parents? He was very thankful. This couldn't have been any better. His dreams came true. No more starving no more fears no more! He was enrolled in high school, Emelia which was his adopting mother hired tutors to help him caught up. This was a total different life, he felt so special and he grew a lot of love for Emelia and john.

Couple years later he was in a University he was successfully graduated from High school and was a very mature man. He viewed life differently. He was very happy with his adopting parents and his expectations for life grew. His dream was to build a foundation for children like him. That wished for a better life. He had had reborn and he was more thankful then anything.
